Terms of Service
Effective date: September 21, 2026
1. Who we are
Frias Family Financial is a tax-preparation and accounting support practice based in Wimauma, Florida. We are a tax-preparation practice, not a CPA firm.
2. Services
We provide individual and small-business tax preparation, bookkeeping support, and related services as described on our website. Every engagement is confirmed in writing (engagement letter or email confirmation) before work begins.
3. How engagements start
Contact begins by email for most services; Schedule C begins with its fit check and consultations begin on the booking page. We will confirm your scope, send the intake and document instructions for your service, and explain the fee and payment sequence. Work starts only after (a) you complete the confirmed intake steps, and (b) any required fee or retainer is paid.
4. Fees and payment
Fees are quoted in advance and fixed unless the scope changes. If the scope changes materially, we will tell you before doing additional work. Payment is due as stated in your engagement confirmation, via the secure payment link we send (processed by Stripe). Returned payments may incur a fee.
5. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide complete and accurate information and documents by the deadlines we set, and to review your return before it is filed. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. Please do not include Social Security numbers, tax documents, bank details, or other sensitive information in your first email; we will provide secure document-upload instructions after confirming the engagement.
6. No outcome guarantees
We prepare returns with professional care, but we do not guarantee any tax outcome, refund amount, or IRS result.
7. Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel an engagement at any time by email. Fees for work already completed are non-refundable. Service-specific terms: 30-minute tax consultations are fully refundable if canceled at least 24 hours before the confirmed call time. Monthly bookkeeping subscriptions may be canceled anytime; your books stay yours. 1099-NEC pre-sale filings are fully refundable until January 5, 2027. If you paid a retainer and no work has begun, the unused portion will be refunded to your original payment method within 14 days.
8. Document retention
We retain engagement records as required by law and our internal policies, then securely dispose of them.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees you paid for the engagement giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
